Along with the holy darshan of the majestic Mount Kailash and pious Lake Mansarovar, you will visit Yam Dwar, Dirapuk, Charan Sparsh, Shivasthal, Gauri Kund, Ashtapad, and Zuthulpuk Monastery. Devotees from all around the world undertake this pilgrimage to have the darshan of the majestic Mount Kailash. And, the Kailash inner kora or parikrama is the coveted activity in the yatra. It is physically demanding and requires a great level of physical fitness. Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, the Pilgrim Packages India tour representative will welcome you and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay. Check into the hotel and unwind. Explore the surroundings on your own and return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Have breakfast at the hotel, then leave early for a sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Visit Pashupatinath Temple, the largest and oldest temple in Nepal. If time permits, you will visit the other two notable temples in the same area, named Mata Guheswori Temple and Budhanilkantha Temple. After this, our representative will drop you off at the airport to board your flight to Nepalgunj. Upon arrival in Nepalgunj, you will meet our tour representative, who will escort you to the pre-booked hotel. check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Today, you will fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot, then to Hilsa, and finally to Taklakot, where you will stay for the night. After breakfast, check out of the hotel and leave for the Nepalgunj airport to fly to Simikot. At Simikot, you will board a chartered helicopter and fly to Hilsa. Upon arrival in Hilsa, you will meet our tour representative, who will drive you straight to Taklakot in Tibet. Check into the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Taklakot.
Today, you will spend the day acclimatizing to the high altitude of Taklakot. Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Or, embark on a short trek to prepare for the Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama. This helps you acclimatize fast. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Taklakot.
Post breakfast, check out of the hotel and proceed to Lake Mansarovar. After a 2–3-hour drive, you will reach the sacred Lake Mansarovar from where you will also have the first glimpse of the holy Mount Kailash. Adjacent to Mansarovar Lake, you will see another Lake called Rakshas Tal. If Mansarovar is a sacred lake full of positivity, Rakshas Tal is considered a poisonous lake, full of negative energy. But you will stop by Rakshas Tal before reaching Lake Mansarovar. You will stay tonight in a dormitory-style guesthouse or a tent near Lake Mansarovar.
Wake up early and visit Lake Mansarovar. Offer prayers to the Almighty and take a holy dip in the lake. You can even take the sacred water of Mansarovar back home with you. After this, continue your Mansarovar Parikrama. Drive to Darchen, the base camp of Mount Kailash Parikrama. Overnight stay at the guesthouse in Darchen.
Have your breakfast and drive to Tarboche (Yam Dwar). It is the starting point of Kailash Kora (Parikrama). From here, you will trek for 7km, which will take almost 7 hours. You will pass through the beautiful rocky cliffs, witnessing the clear sky and waterfalls that make the trail beautiful and give you a sense of lord Shiva’s presence. From time to time, the face of Mount Kailash will appear. After this, you will reach Dirapuk, where you will stay overnight in a dormitory-style guesthouse with basic amenities.
Today, during the Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama, you will visit the Charam Sparsh from the north face of Kailash. As part of the inner Kailash Kora, this gives you the closest view of the mighty Mount Kailash. Trekking to Charan Sparsh means touching the base of Mount Kailash to seek the divine blessings and connect with the Almighty. After this, you will return to Dirapuk. The trek to Charan Sparsh and coming back to Dirapuk will take an entire day. Overnight stay in the guesthouse in Dirapuk.
After breakfast, start trekking and climb to Dolma La Pass, situated at an elevation of 5630 metres above sea level. After this, you will descend to Zuthulpuk and cross Yamasthal to reach the Shivasthal. At Shivasthal, people do the rituals and offerings. Both in Hindu and Buddhist religions, it is believed that leaving your possessions, like clothes, gold ornaments, hair lock, or a drop of blood, is auspicious. You get rid of the sins of this life and get salvation, and some believe, you get these things in heaven, whatever you left here. But we recommend not donating anything, as this creates litter in the region. Instead, you can donate them to locals or the needy. Descend to Gauri Kund and then finally reach Zuthulpuk. Then trek to Darchen for an overnight stay.
Have your breakfast and get ready to embark on the Kailash Mansarovar Inner Parikrama (Kora). You will first hike to Ashtapad and explore Serlung Gompa, Saptarishi Cave, and Atmalingam, with the view of Mount Kailash. After darshan, you will return to Ashtapad for an overnight stay in a tent.
Wake up before dawn to witness the magical view of the golden Mount Kailash. Click pictures or record videos. After darshan, trek back to Darchen, where our tour representative will wait for you. He will drive you to Taklakot Cross Immigration and reach Hilsa. Upon arrival in Hilsa, check into the hotel for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, leave for Simikot. Our tour representative will drop you off at the Hilsa helipad to board your helicopter to fly to Simikot. Get a connecting flight from Simikot to Nepalgunj and then fly to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our tour representative will pick you up and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay.
Have your breakfast at the hotel and get ready for the departure from Kathmandu Airport. The Pilgrim Packages India tour representative will drop you off at the airport to board your flight back home with cherished memories of your Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
