According to mythology, when Bhairavnath was chasing Maa Vaishni Devi, Maa entered the Gufa (cave) and meditated for 9 months. When Bhairavnath came chasing Mata, Mata Rani made a way from the other side of the Gufa and came out and went towards Trikuta Hills.
