If you don’t want to trek, you can reach Yamunotri by horse or doli (palki), but at your own cost. Once you reach Yamunotri, take a bath in the warm waters of Surya Kund (Hot Water Springs). Thereafter, have darshan of the Yamunotri Shrine and return by trekking (by horse or palki at your own cost) to Jankichatti. Later, drive to Barkot. About Kedarnath Dham

Kedarnath is one of the four dhams of the Char Dham pilgrimage circuit. The temple (Kedarnath Temple) here is among the holiest of Lord Shiva’s shrines. It is nestled amidst the snow-clad peaks of the lovely Himalayas of Uttarakhand. The Mandakini River flows nearby at an elevation of around 3,583 meters.

It is said that the temple was constructed by the Pandavas after the Mahabharata war to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings. Subsequently, Adi Shankaracharya revived it in the 8th century.
