Itinerary

Start your Char Dham Yatra tour by traveling from Mumbai to Delhi or Dehradun. The rest of the schedule depends on the destination you travel to. If you arrive in Delhi, the Pilgrim Packages India tour representative will pick you up from the airport and drive you to Haridwar for an overnight stay. If you are traveling to Dehradun, our tour representative will transfer you to the pre-booked hotel for an overnight stay in Dehradun.

Relish a delicious breakfast at the hotel and check out. Our tour representative will drive you to Barkot. You will pass through the scenic beauty of Uttarakhand. The distance from Dehradun to Barkot is around 145 km, which takes 4-5 hours. And, the distance from Haridwar to Barkot is 196 km, which may take 6-7 hours. After reaching Barkot, you will check into the hotel, have dinner, and rest overnight.

Today, you will head towards the first destination of the Char Dham Yatra from Mumbai, Yamunotri. Get up early and drive to Sanji Chatti. From there, you will begin the 6 km trek to reach the Yamunotri Temple, which is situated at an altitude of 3,292 metres in the western Garhwal Himalayas. it is the source of the sacred Yamuna River, which is considered a goddess in the Hindu religion. You will see the idol of the goddess Yamuna carved in black stone. There is a Surya Kund, where pilgrims take a holy dip. After darshan, trek back to Sanji Chatti, where you will meet our tour representative, waiting for you with a 4X4 vehicle. Drive back to the hotel in Barkot for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, you will head to Uttarkashi, a beautiful town located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. This is the gateway to the next pilgrimage destination of the Char Dham Yatra, Gangotri. Have your breakfast at the hotel and check out. Our tour representative will drive you to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax. Later, visit the top attractions of Uttarkashi, Shiv Gufa and Vishwanath Temple that are dedicated to lord Shiva. Overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

Early morning drive to Gangotri, which is located at 96 km. Enjoy a scenic drive through Harsil Valley for 3 hours. Finally, reach the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to the River Ganga, one of the most significant and sacred rivers for Hindus. The temple is located at an altitude of 3200 metres on the right bank of the Bhagirathi River and provides a beautiful landscape with a backdrop of the snow-clad peaks. After darshan of Mata Ganga, take a holy bath in the Bhagirathi River. You can even spend time here meditating and soaking in the Himalayan serenity. Return to the hotel in Uttarkashi for the overnight stay.

Post breakfast, check out of the hotel. Our tour representative will drive you to Guptkashi, the gateway to Kedarnath Temple, the next destination of your Char Dham Yatra. You will pass through the scenic valleys and river confluences. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and relax. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Guptkashi.

Have your breakfast and leave for Kedarnath. Our tour representative will drive you to Sonprayag. From there, you will take a local taxi to reach Gaurikund, the starting point of the trek to Kedarnath. You will complete a 17 km trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and freshen up. Join fellow Shiv Bhakts for the evening Aarti in the temple and have darshan. Overnight stay in a hotel near the temple.

Again, in the morning, visit the temple for darshan and trek back to Gaurikund. From there, take a taxi to Sonprayag. Our tour representative will pick you up from there and transfer you to Guptkashi for an overnight stay in the hotel.

After breakfast, you will leave for Joshimath, which serves as the gateway to several Himalayan treks, pilgrimage sites, and mountain expeditions. You will drive to Joshimath via Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag. Upon arrival, check into the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Have your breakfast and drive to Badrinath Temple, at a distance of 45 km. This is the last of the four shrines of the Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand. With this, your Char Dham Yatra will be completed. It will take around 4-5 hours to reach the Badrinath Temple as you traverse through the rugged mountain terrain. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. After darshan, visit nearby sites such as Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Saraswati River. After this, return to Joshimath for dinner and an overnight stay in the hotel.

After relishing breakfast, check out of the hotel and leave for Haridwar. It will take around 10 hours to reach Haridwar. If time permits, we will stop at Devprayag, the confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers that merge to become the sacred River Ganga. Continue driving to Haridwar and upon arrival, check into the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
