Char Dham Yatra Package from Haridwar – Best 2026 Deals

Overview

Uttarakhand, also known as Devbhoomi, or the Land of Gods, is full of temples and sees visitors all year round. One of the most well-known pilgrimage tours and circuits that pilgrims visit in Uttarakhand is the Char Dham Yatra. It's a journey to four holy places—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath—up in the Himalayas. In Hindi, 'Char' means four, and 'Dham' means sacred spots.

The temples are closed for about six months of the year. They open in the summer, around April or May, and shut again when winter starts, usually in October or November. People say you should do the Yatra in a clockwise direction, so you begin at Yamunotri, then go to Gangotri, followed by Kedarnath, and end at Badrinath. You can either go by road or take a helicopter. Some folks even choose to do a shorter trip to just Kedarnath and Badrinath, called the Do Dham Yatra.

Itinerary

Upon arrival in Haridwar, the tour representative of Pilgrim Packages India will receive you with a warm welcome and drive you to Barkot. Stop by Mussorie and Kempty Falls along the way—perfect for a little break and some nice views. Then, head to Barkot, check into the hotel, and you’ve got the evening to relax.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

After breakfast, we’ll drive to Janakichatti or Phoolchatti, where the trek to Yamunotri starts. It’s about 6 km, and you can either walk, ride a horse, or take a Doli (they’re all at your own cost). When we get to Yamunotri, you can take a dip in the Surya Kund hot spring, which feels amazing! Then, we’ll do the trek back to Janakichatti, and after that, we’ll drive back to Barkot to stay in the hotel for the night.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

After breakfast, head out to Uttarkashi. You will stop by Shivgufa on the way, which is a cool little spot. In Uttarkashi, visit the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Check into the hotel, and you’ve got the rest of the day free to chill.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

After breakfast, we will drive you to Gangotri. On the way, stop at Gangnani Hot Spring to take a quick dip. Continue the drive through the beautiful Harsil Valley to Gangotri. Once there, you can take a dip in the Ganges (called Bhagirathi here) and perform a small pooja. It is a nice peaceful spot to spend some time. Head back to Uttarkashi for the night.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel and head to Guptkashi. On the way, you will see the beautiful Mandakini River at Tilwara, which comes from Kedarnath. Once we get to Guptkashi, visit the Ardh Narishwar Temple. Our tour representative will drop you at the pre-booked hotel in any of the three mentioned locations—Guptkashi/Sitapur/Rampur. Check into the hotel and relax. Stay overnight.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

Today, after relishing a hearty breakfast, head to Kedarnath. The Kedarnath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the Jyotirlingas in India. To visit Kedarnath, either trek or take a helicopter (at your own cost). If you choose the trek, the representative will drive you to Sonprayag early in the morning. From there, it is a 5 km jeep ride to Gaurikund (you’ll have to pay for the jeep on your own). Then, you will start the trek to Kedarnath. You can also rent a horse or palki if you want (again, at your own cost). After reaching Kedarnath, check into the hotel and stay overnight.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

After breakfast, trek back from Kedarnath to Sitapur. It’s a 16km trek, so get ready for some exercise. The views along the way are amazing, so it’s totally worth it. Once back in Sitapur or Rampur, our representative will drop you at the hotel. Rest up for the night.

Accommodation, Breakfast, and Lunch or Dinner

Have your breakfast early in the morning and drive to Badrinath. Upon arrival, check into the hotel and freshen up. Take a dip in Taptkund and visit the Badrinath Temple. Don’t miss the evening aarti! If you have time, check out nearby places like Mana, Vyas Gufa, and Charanpaduka. Stay overnight at Badrinath.

Package Description of Char Dham Yatra

The 4 Dham Yatra is among the most significant pilgrimages in Hinduism. It denotes an important spiritual journey through the beautiful Himalayas. This holy trip, also called the Chardham Yatra, takes pilgrims to four holy shrines: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Each of these sites relates a specific aspect of divine energy and spiritual devotion in connection to the beauty of nature.

The journey starts at Yamunotri, which is the source of the sacred Yamuna River (which emerges from the Champasar Glacier). Pilgrims walk through green valleys and tranquil territories until they reach the Yamunotri Temple dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna. The water flowing from the Yamuna River and the peaceful ambiance of the mountains provide pilgrims with calmness and a sense of devotion, creating a profound spiritual connection.

The other pilgrimage site is Gangotri, which stands for the birthplace of the holy Ganges River. The worshippers gather at the Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga, amidst snow-capped mountains, flowing Bhagirathi River. The energy that is present in Gangotri and the surrounding beauty of the Himalayas provide an unforgettable spiritual experience.

The pilgrimage carries on to Kedarnath, which is located deep in the Garhwal Himalayas, and is an important temple of Lord Shiva. People travel to this shrine through an uphill trek or by pony and palanquin. The Kedarnath Temple, situated in beautiful surroundings, represents faith, perseverance, and devotion. Pious belief says the blessings of Lord Shiva will purify the soul and release the spirit.

The final stop will be Badrinath, which lies along the banks of the Alaknanda River and is the holy domicile of Lord Vishnu. The Badrinath Temple, along with its stunning architecture and divine atmosphere, is a representation of faith and enlightenment, and close by is Tapt Kund, a natural hot spring, which is also revered for its beneficial healing properties.

The journey to the 4 Dham Yatra is much more than a physical journey; it is a spiritual journey that changes lives. As pilgrims continue to walk through the pristine Himalayan landscapes, they will find inner peace, a divine connection, and faith renewed.  A well-organized Char Dham Yatra package will provide happy memories of smooth, safe, and spiritually satisfying experiences. It guides the devotee through the essence of Hindu spirituality and the sacred energies of the Holy sites.
