Overview

Triyuginarayan is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located at an altitude of 1,980 meters in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand. The temple is famous because it is believed to be the sacred place where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were married. A sacred stone known as Brahma Shila marks the exact spot of their divine wedding.

The temple is built in a style similar to the Kedarnath Temple, which is about 27 km away. It is surrounded by three sacred ponds—Rudrakund, Vishnukund, and Brahmakund—named after Hindu deities. The site also has a small temple dedicated to five gods and a nearby cave dedicated to Goddess Gauri. The peaceful surroundings and spiritual atmosphere make it a truly divine place to visit.
