This 12-day Buddhist tour takes you through some of the most important places in India and Nepal, like Delhi, Lucknow, Sravasti, Lumbini, Kushinagar, Patna, Vaishali, Nalanda, Rajgir, Bodhgaya, and Varanasi (Sarnath). India and Nepal are both fascinating countries, and when combined, they make an amazing travel experience. The tour focuses on key sites in Buddha’s life – where he was born in Lumbini, found enlightenment in Bodhgaya, preached his first sermon in Sarnath, and reached Nirvana in Kushinagar. You will also visit other important places that were significant during Buddha’s journey.
Upon arrival, you will be received by the representative of Pilgrim Package India, who will take you on a drive to Shravasti. After a 3-hour journey, you will reach Shravasti. Have a hearty breakfast and check out of your hotel to drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The site was rediscovered in 1890 after being lost for about 1500 years. If you are a foreigner, complete visa and immigration formalities at the India/Nepal border before arriving in Lumbini. Check in at the hotel and enjoy dinner before an overnight stay.
After breakfast, visit some of Lumbini’s key sights: Maya Devi Temple, the Sacred Garden, the Bodhi Tree, Maya Devi Pond, Ashoka Pillar, World Peace Pagoda, and various international monasteries and temples. Overnight stay in Lumbini.
After breakfast, drive to Kushinagar, where Buddha attained salvation and passed into Mahaparinirvana. Visit the Mahaparinirvana Temple, where Buddha took his last breath, and Rambhar Stupa, where he was cremated. Overnight stay in Kushinagar.

Early check out of the hotel to drive to Bodhgaya, where Buddha attained enlightenment. On the way, visit the Shanti Stupa (Peace Pagoda) in Rajgir and the ancient Nalanda University. Upon arrival in Bodhgaya, check into your hotel and rest for the night.
Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the hotel and go sightseeing in Bodhgaya. Visit the Mahabodhi Temple, the Bodhi Tree, the Great Buddha Statue, the Niranjana River, and the Sujata Temple. Explore various Buddhist temples in the area. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
After having your breakfast check out from the hotel. Start your journey to Varanasi, where you will visit Sarnath. It is the place where Buddha gave his first sermon. Once reach Varanasi, check into the hotel, and relax. In the evening, enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges River with a guide. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
